The Schools and us

"La Macchia degli Esperti" actively cooperates with schools. Up till now many schools have dealt with our Horse Riding Centre and our instructor and teacher, Caterina Minervini, realizing educational and disciplinary projects in order that students grow in citizenship education and affectivity.
This continuous experience of collaboration with schools shows how children interact in empathy with horses and achieve physical and emotional well-being.

OUR COLLABORATIONS:

- Since 2008: Collaboration with the Social Cooperative “KOINOS” and Schools, Recreation Centres and Rehabilitation Centres, Projects “Farm School”-" Saddle baptism "-" Approach to horse riding " at “La Macchia degli Esperti”.
Collaboration with the Recreation Centre, playroom - nursery "Hakuna Matata" of Molfetta.

- 2012, 2013, 2014: Hippotherapy project with the Foundation “Carlo Valente”, ONLUL, Lega del Filo d’Oro, Molfetta and with “ANFFAS Onlus”, Molfetta.

- A.S. 2013/14: PON Project “Hippotherapy and disability” F 2 FSE at I.I.S.S. “S. Cosmai”, Bisceglie.
PON Project “Canoe start-up” at the High School “Lenoci”, Bari.

- 2014: Collaboration in adapted motor activities in the summer campus organized at CUS Bari in collaboration with "Sportivamente APS".

- A.S. 2016/17: Project MIUR-CONI-FISE e CIP " Gymnastic with the Pony " at the Middle School "Giaquinto" Molfetta and at I.C. "Mazzini - De Cesare" Spinazzola.

- A.S. 2018/19: PON Project 2019 “Hop Hop Horse " F 2 FSE, at C.D. "Mazzini", Middle School "De Cesare", Spinazzola; PON Project 2019 “A horse for a friend " F 2 FSE, at C.D. "San Giovanni Bosco", Molfetta; PON Project 2019 “Riding together " F 2 FSE, at the Middle School "Rocca - Bovio - Palumbo", Trani.

OUR THEMATIC PROJECTS:

- Historical-linguistic-literary project related to local history of “La Macchia degli Esperti” and to the sighting tower located on site.

- Horse-riding start-up project: Grooming (government of the horse); Saddle Baptism; Farrier; Veterinary medicine.

- Gastronomy laboratory project: practical experience of preparing pizzas, pancakes, taralli, jams etc.

- Literary and historical-geographical project entitled “Border to Border”: reading and creative laboratory related to the book of the same name, tribute to the unbeaten record in the solo crossing from one border to the other of the USA, made by Gregorio Minervini in the 80s.
